Mac market sales decline in the first quarter, the market share rose

According to market research data released by Gartner and IDC, global PC shipments in the first quarter of 2019 decreased by 4.6% year-on-year, and Apple Mac sales decreased by 2.5 percentage points. Apple shipped 3.98 million Mac computers last quarter, compared with 4.08 million in the same period last year. However, the Mac market share has increased from 6.6% to 6.8%.

In terms of global rankings, Apple is still the fourth largest PC supplier, with the top three being Lenovo, HP and Dell.

The data of the two organizations are based on estimates. Apple has previously given specific Mac sales in each quarterly report, so the estimated data can be used as a reference. However, Apple has no longer provided specific product sales data, and will not be able to confirm these estimates in the future.
